Maui Golf Course Options

You may choose to play any of the courses listed as part of you package.

Courses you select will determine the final cost for your package.

The Dunes at Maui Lani

he Dunes at Maui Lani Golf Course is built on million-year old sand dunes located in central Maui. Architect Robin Nelson loved this natural setting so much that he left the topography of the unspoiled dunes terrain alone when crafting this links-style course. The Dunes plays 6841 yards from the Black Tees and has a USGA Slope Rating of 141. The Dunes at Maui Lani is designed much like the courses in the British Isles that were built centuries ago, as its holes take full advantage of Maui’s sloping island dune terrain. Each of the 18 holes are unique compared to anything else found in America because of the terrain upon which they are set and therefore make this course one-of-a-kind to play. In addition to the incomparable course itself you will find that The Dunes has the only lit range with grass tees in all of central Maui, making it a great place to practice after hours as well.

Championship Tees Course Rating: 18 Holes; Par 72; 6840 yards, Rated 73.5, Slope Rated 136

Maui Nui Golf Club

Maui Nui Golf Club located in Kihei, is suitable for any player or skill-level. Features include an inviting opening hole, reachable par 5's, exceptional views of the Pacific Ocean, Mt. Haleakala, Molokini and the West Maui Mountains. The course is continually being improved to make it even more golfer friendly, with widening of the fairways, reshaping and enlarging of greens and the installation of a new hybrid Bermuda turf grass. Maui Nui is not only one of the best value courses but has some of the best weather on the island as well. Maui Nui, originally known as Silversword, was designed by architect Bill Newis and first opened in 1987. With an interesting layout, the course was designed with the trade winds in mind, which usually hit the course in the late afternoon. Maui Nui rewards those who play the fundamentals well: keeping the ball in play, putting, chipping and playing within themselves; it is the fairest test of golf on Maui.

Championship Tees Course Rating: 18 Holes; Par 72; 6404 yards, Rated 73.2, Slope Rated 135

Kaanapali Royal Course

The Royal Ka'anapali Course is a Par 71 that stretches to 6700 yards from the championship tees. The course was opened in 1962 and is one of only two Robert Trent Jones Sr designed courses in all of Hawaii. The signature hole is the beautiful 5th that takes you directly down to Ka'anapali and Black Rock Beach. (You will be so close to the ocean you can go swimming!) Robert Trent Jones Sr took advantage of the rolling landscape to create gently sloping fairways and large contoured greens to ensure a challenging approach to each hole. You will have views of the two neighboring islands (Molokai and Lanai) from almost every hole on the course. The Royal Ka'anapali Course begins at sea level with a par 5 hole extending 550 yards. The course hugs the shoreline before winding its way to the West Maui Mountain foothills. Legendary Arnold Palmer was quoted as saying that the 18th hole was one of the best and most challenging finishing holes he had ever played. The 449 yard hole plays longer than it looks, hugging the brackish water canal the entire length of the fairway and green, making it a memorable last hole. A local tip that will be sure to aid you while playing this difficult par 4 is that all the putts on this green break towards the island of Lanai.

Championship Tees Course Rating: 18 Holes; Par 71; 6994 yards, Rated 71.8, Slope Rated 129

Kaanapali Kai Course

Ka'anapali Kai Course was originally designed by architect Arthur Jack Snyder in 1976, but was recently renovated by one of Hawaii's most prolific golf course architects Robin Nelson. At 6400 yards, the Par 70 course is now more forgiving and features subtle, undulating greens that suits all levels of play. The newly designed course even made headlines when chosen in 2008 to host the Ladies Only Big Break Ka'anapali. Additional features that make the course enjoyable include natural canals, trenches and lava rock boundaries which lie along many of the holes. The course is also beautifully landscaped with native flowers such as the Hawaii state flower Hibiscus, Bougainvillea and wonderfully smelling Plumeria, not to mention the prevalent Norfolk Pines and Coconut Trees that border many fairways. With sweeping views of the West Maui Coast and neighbor islands Molokai and Lanai, the Kaanapali Kai Course is unquestionably one of the top courses on the island. To add to these great views if playing here between November and April you may even be lucky enough to spot humpback whales cavorting offshore.

Championship Tees Course Rating: 18 Holes; Par 71; 6555 yards, Rated 71.2, Slope Rated 126

Kahilli Golf Course

Kahili Golf Course, located at the foothill of the West Maui Mountains, experiences the spectacular bi-coastal views of Mt. Haleakala and the Pacific Ocean. The 6554 yard par 72 was constructed in 1991 and was designed by Robin Nelson and Rodney Wright. The course is a very popular choice among both visitors and local golfers. Kahili Golf Course plays host to numerous Maui and state-wide tournaments throughout the year. This world-class layout offers something for all levels of golfers. The low handicap golfer will appreciate the strong par 5's and lava on the course while the average golfer will enjoy the great par 3's and great course conditions. One thing that stands out about this course is that there are no homes or condos lining the fairways like your typical resort-style course. Kahili Golf Course is conveniently located in Waikapu, a mere 10 minutes from Kahului airport and 30 minutes from the Wailea and Ka'anapali Resort Hotels. Kahili Golf Course's great design makes the best of the terrain and Hawaiian trade winds to create a unique golf experience.

Championship Tees Course Rating: 18 Holes; Par 72, 6537 yards, Rated 71.9, Slope Rated 130

Kapalua Bay Course

The Bay Course, host of the 2008 Kapalua LPGA Classic and former host to the Lincoln-Mercury Kapalua International, winds its way through towering palms and flowering hibiscus. With its uninterrupted views of the Pacific and gentle rolling fairways, the Bay Course is sure to excite golfers of all skill levels. The Arnold Palmer and Francis Duane designed course was one of the earliest features in the development of Kapalua Resort and the forerunner of the resorts two championship courses. Recognized as one of the top golf resorts in the world, there is no better place to experience golf than at legendary Kapalua!

The views are simply incredible from every hole on the course. The par 73, 7411-yard course has also hosted many of golf’s greats. Previous competitors include Tiger Woods, Ernie Els, Bubba Watson, Jim Furyk and many more. This years 2017 winner Justin Thomas won with a score or 270 (22 under par). Wailea Gold Course

Wailea Gold Course was the home course of The Champions Skins Game from 2001 to 2007. The 7078-yard Gold Course is the most challenging of three Wailea Courses and plays to 7100 yards from the back tees. The course is known for having more bunkers and narrower fairways than its sister Emerald and Blue Courses. Designed by Robert Trent Jones II, the Gold was honored by both Golf Magazine and Golf Digest as one of the country’s ten best new resort courses when it opened in 1994. Known as a “thinking player’s course", the Gold offers a true test to a golfers skills. You will enjoy spectacular vistas of the ocean, Molokini islet, ancient lava rock walls, coconut trees and sparkling white bunkers. The Maui Historical Society recognized the course for its preservation of prehistoric lava rock walls during construction, and hailed it as one of the world’s best designed courses by the readers of Conde Nast Traveler in the magazine’s first golf resorts poll. Wailea Emerald Course

Designed as a fun course for every skill level, the 6825-yard Wailea Emerald Course is one of the country’s most women-friendly golf clubs, according to Golf for Women Magazine who first granted the Wailea Golf Club the "Top Fairways Award" over a decade ago and has since then had the honor of winning that same award six additional times. In the sunny, usually warmer end of Maui, The Emerald Course delights players with its carpet-like fairways, colorful foliage and numerous vistas of the Pacific Ocean and Mt. Haleakala. With less forced carries and kinder fairways than the Gold Course, conditions are great for players who view golf as an enjoyable form of recreation rather than a grueling test of concentration and precision. Measuring 6825 yards from the back tees, the Emerald features four to six tee boxes on every hole, allowing players to play the course to their playing level. A strong notable feature includes a large double green shared by holes #10 and #17. The course also has 10 fewer sand traps, wider fairways and slightly more ocean views than can be seen from the Gold Course.

Championship Tees Course Rating: 18 Holes; Par 72; 6825 yards, Rated 71.7, Slope Rated 130

Wailea Old Blue

Wailea Blue offers up a golf experience that is truly classic. As the first course ever built in Wailea, The Blue laid claim to the lay of the land that would put Wailea on everyone’s wish list of places to visit. The course winds its way on a tour of the resort while serving up views of the neighboring islands on one side and 10,023-foot dormant volcano, Mt. Haleakala on the other. Now, after all these years, The Blue continues to welcome back many golfers who feel that a trip to Maui is not complete without a round or two on The Blue course. With views of the Pacific Ocean, several offshore islands, a volcanic cinder cone known as Pu'u Olai and majestic Mount Haleakala, it features several fountains and lakes and an abundance of colorful Hibiscus, Wiliwili Trees, Bougainvillea and Plumeria, not to mention lush, wide fairways and large greens. With all of these aspects as well as superb course conditions the Wailea Blue really is the definition of classic golf in paradise.
