Kapolei Golf Course
Located west of Pearl Harbor, in Sunny Kapolei, Oahu's second
city, the par-72 championship layout is beautifully landscaped
with floral gardens, thousands of coconut palms, and five
expansive lakes. Architect Ted Robinson, who is known for his
creative use of water, moved massive amounts of dirt to create
the lakes and to provide elevation and contouring for the
course. Altogether the lakes come into play on 12 holes, and, in
addition to being aesthetically pleasing, serve an important
environmental function, catching storm run-off from the
surrounding terrain. Kapolei measures 7,001 yards from the back
tees, but with multiple tee positions the course can be enjoyed
by all levels of golfers. More than 80 bunkers, elevated greens,
and gently contoured fairways add to the challenge. Opened in

Ko Olina Golf Course
Ko Olina is considered one of Hawaii's top courses. Opened in
1990, Ko Olina has been recognized by Golf Digest as one of the
"Top 75 Resort Courses in the U.S.". Ko Olina has also been host
to the LPGA Tour (1990-1995) and the Senior PGA Tour (1992). The
course includes 16 water features on 8 different holes,
multi-tiered greens, and well-manicured fairways. Ko Olina will
challenge golfers to use every club in the bag with its
demanding par 3's, well bunkered greens and gentle tradewinds.

Olina to accommodate players of all skill levels. Water is the
defining feature at the beautiful Ko Olina Golf Club, located
only 25 miles from Honolulu on Oahu's sunny southwest tip. Ted
Robinson, a designer best known for his "waterscapes," took
former sugar cane lands and moved more than a million cubic
yards of dirt to create Ko Olina. He added moundings and
contours, elevated tees and greens, and planted more than a
thousand stately coconut palms and other trees. And, true to his
trademark, he added lots of water. Waterfalls feed into streams
that widen into pools that become lakes From the back tees Ko
Olina measures 6,867 yards and is superbly maintained, with wide
fairways and well-bunkered, multi-tiered greens.

Luana Hills Country Club
From front nine to back nine you journey from wide open spaces
on hillsides below the magic mountain of Olomana, to dense
tropical jungle that showcases Hawaiian flora and birds. Located
in the back of beautiful Maunawili Valley on the windward side
of Oahu, Luana Hills Country Club is the first course in Hawaii
designed by Perry Dye and his famous brother, Pete - one of the
most accomplished golf architects in America. Luana Hills
measures just 6,595 yards from the back tees, but its relatively
modest length belies the challenge that lies ahead. The Dye
brothers made sure to incorporate many of their trademark design
features, including a variety of forced carries off the tee,
bunkers bordered by railroad ties, par-3's over water to island
greens, and fairways that fall off steeply into bunkers and
ravines. Luana Hills is set in awesome natural surroundings
beneath the deep green folds of the Ko'olau Mountains. The front
nine plays across the lower slopes of Mount Olomana, while the
back nine wends its way through a tropical rainforest with
dramatic changes in elevation. Local residences refer to it as
"Jurassic Park" because there are few signs of civilization,
only the surrounding forest and the mountain peaks overhead.

Makaha Golf Course
Golfers will enjoy not only the challenging play but the
beautifully landscaped links. Strutting peacocks and well-placed
ponds, palm trees, and bougainvillea provide constant visual
delights. The course takes full advantage of the natural
splendors of the Makaha Valley, following the valley's graceful
contours, and winding past fern-covered glens. The jewel- like
course is framed by the Waianae Mountain Range, with the awesome
Mt. Kaala, which rises almost vertically for more than 5,000
feet above the valley floor, visible from every hole. A long
par-72 that stretches 7,077 yards from the back tees, the course
is acclaimed as one of the finest in Hawaii. The Makaha Resort
Golf Club is one of only three resorts on Oahu with golf
courses, and was the first to be built. William P. Bell designed
the championship course layout, in 1966. Since the Makaha Resort
Golf Club opened, some holes have been altered from Bell's
design to accommodate new construction, but the resulting holes
are considered at least as good as the originals.

Turtle Bay Palmer Course
Poised on the northernmost tip of Oahu, Turtle Bay Country Club
is the perfect choice for the golfer who wants to escape the
bustle of Honolulu and Waikiki. This secluded North Shore resort
is named after the bay it overlooks, which is visited each year
by green sea turtles that come to nest in Turtle Bay's pristine
waters. The Palmer Course at Turtle Bay Resort is an 18-hole
championship golf course designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay.
When played from the Palmer (black) tees, the course will offer
a stern challenge to the best players in the world. However,
there are five sets of tees on each hole, and in some cases,
six. This ensures that the course can be enjoyed by any caliber
of golfer. The Palmer Course at Turtle Bay Resort features two
distinctly different experiences. The front nine is nearly
devoid of trees and shrubs. It features sand, water, wind, and
rolling terrain. The back nine plays through a forest of
ironwood pines and offers a very different feel. The 17th hole
is unquestionably the signature hole on the course with no less
than nine craggy bunkers surrounding the landing area and
extending all the way up to the green. The 17th green sits on a
plateau only 100 feet from the ocean. Because of the growing
popularity of golf at the resort offers a full range of water
sports such as wind surfing and scuba diving. Guests can also
enjoy five-star tennis courts, two swimming pools, volleyball,
and horseback riding. Those looking for less strenuous pleasures
can take advantage of three different cocktail lounges and three
