PGA
National Resort & Spa offers its guests 90 holes of championship golf, a
spectacular European-style spa with over 100 services, and stunning vistas.
Located in fashionable Palm Beach Gardens, this resort is surrounded by 2,340
acres of manicured fairways, tropical gardens and lakes. Add to these amenities
nine shimmering swimming pools, fitness facilities, 19 Har-Tru tennis courts,
croquet club, world-renowned golf academy, eight restaurants, newly-renovated
guest rooms and club cottages and a location just 15 minutes from Palm Beach
International Airport.
Headquarters for the PGA of America, all of the resort's courses are kept in tournament condition all year long. PGA National is steeped in the history and tradition of golf tournaments played on these courses - The PGA Seniors' Championship, the PGA Championship and Ryder Cup matches. As with these storied events, your golf experience here is the way the game is meant to be enjoyed.
George and Tom Fazio, Karl Litten, Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer course designs are showcased. The General, Haig, Squire and famous Champion courses are located on property while the fifth course, The Estates, is only a short drive away. Golf Holidays enjoys the exclusivity of unlimited golf at this prestigious property.
The Haig - designed by George and Tom Fazio, is an outstanding layout that challenges golfers of all skill levels. Rose bushes signify the 150-yard course markers in memory of Walter Hagen, after whom the course is named. He always took time to smell the roses on his way to winning 11 major championships.
The Squire - another Fazio collaboration, is named for Gene Sarazen, the first man to win all four of professional golf's Grand Slam titles. Although it is the shortest of the five courses, it is a shotmaker's layout that demands accurate drives to narrow fairways and pinpoint approaches to the greens.
The Champion - originally designed by George and Tom Fazio is the most renowned of PGA National's courses and host to the PGA Seniors Championship. It has recently been toughened up by Jack Nicklaus and now boasts three of ten of the most difficult holes on the Senior Tour.
The Estate course - a complete facility, designed by Karl Litten, is adorned by subtropical flora that outlines the lush fairways and greens dotted with white sand and water.
The General - named for its designer Arnold Palmer, the world-famous leader of "Arnie's Army". With its undulating fairways, grass bunkers and a double green, shared by the 8th and 12th holes, recall golf's Old World heritage. The flavor of the Scottish links in South Florida!
