Lodge at Torrey Pines, Sand Diego Area

Poised on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the Lodge at Torrey Pines is within walking distance of Torrey Pines State Reserve. It's modeled after the Gamble and Blacker houses in Pasadena, two of the finest examples of early 1900s Craftsman-style architecture.

The hotel features a 9,500-square-foot spa (with 14 treatment rooms), an 18-hole golf course, a spacious garden reserve, an outdoor pool, a fitness center, two restaurants, and a signature dining room with contemporary California cuisine. Also on the hotel's six acres are trails that lead to the Torrey Pines State Beach and Reserve.

All rooms are non-smoking and feature Stickley-style furnishings, antiques and reproduction turn-of-the-20th-century pieces, and an array of in-room luxuries.

The Lodge at Torrey Pines is located in La Jolla, California overlooking the Pacific Ocean, immediately adjacent to the 18th green of the Torrey Pines Golf Course. The Craftsman-style resort features 170 spacious guest rooms and suites, more than 13,000 square feet of meeting and banquet space, a 9,500 square-foot full-service spa with 14 treatment rooms and a Junior Olympic-size pool trimmed in brick and surrounded by trellised cabanas. A state-of-the-art exercise room and two restaurants, including the Lodge's signature restaurant, A.R. Valentien, takes its name from a talented early-1900's California artist whose works in ceramics, watercolors and oils are now valued collectors items. A.R. Valetien features fresh regional cuisine served in an elegant, timbered room overlooking the 18th hole of Torrey Pines Golf Course. The restaurant's decor also includes an exhibit of original Valentien artwork.

The Lodge at Torrey Pines is just minutes from La Jolla's shops and beaches, UCSD, Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation, Salk Institute, Sorrento Valley and the exciting Del Mar Thoroughbred Club. The San Diego International Airport and San Diego's major attractions including Sea World and the San Diego Zoo are just a short drive away.

Torrey Pines Golf Course offers two of the most picturesque championship 18-hole golf courses in the world.  Torrey Pines is a well-known PGA Tour stop with the Buick Invitational held every February.  We offer one of the largest on-course golf shops in the United States, expert instruction, tournaments, and advanced golf packages.

Recently renovated Torrey Pines South Course boasts dramatic coastline views as well as some of the most challenging golf in the country.  In 2001, renowned golf course designer Rees Jones set his signature upon the course and the accolades on his work have not stopped since.  Now, 7607 tremendous yards in length, the Torrey Pines South Course will host the 2008 United States Open Championship.

Torrey Pines North Course is one of the most scenic golf courses on the California coastline.  Several holes on the North Course are situated high atop the bluffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
